Drivalia secured a €48 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to procure around 2,900 fully electric vehicles for business and self-employed customers in Italy and Finland, to be offered via long-term rental contracts.
The EIB estimates the project will cut CO2 emissions by roughly 3,000 tonnes per year compared with an equivalent fleet of combustion-engine vehicles.
Drivalia, a car rental and mobility provider operating in 16 European countries, already offers electric vehicles through carsharing (e.g. the Fiat 500e), making this EIB-backed expansion part of its broader push into EV-based corporate mobility.
