Hello Robotaxi and Dongfeng Nissan Qichen delivered the HR1 (Hello Robot 1) — their jointly developed, deeply customized L4 Robotaxi based on the Qichen VX6 — at the Guangzhou Huadu factory and began mass production, marking Hello's shift from technology validation to commercial-scale deployment.
Unlike retrofit-based models, HR1 integrates vehicle architecture with Hello's full-stack self-developed L4 driving system through multi-layer redundancy across perception, computing and braking, and Hello signed strategic agreements with four supply-chain partners covering fleet management, asset allocation and operations.
The first HR1 batch will launch regular operations in Guangzhou and Shenzhen before expanding to at least 10 cities in 2026-2027; CEO Yang Lei said Hello completed the full R&D-to-mass-production cycle in one year since starting the Robotaxi project in 2025, validating a model where platforms define products and OEMs ensure manufacturing quality.
