Mercedes-Benz unveiled the fully redesigned GLA compact SUV in Europe, lowering ride height by 20mm while extending the wheelbase 61mm to 2790mm, and introducing on electric models a new-generation "Iconic Grille" combining 608 polycarbonate light points with 158 micro-LEDs that animates in sync with the selected "Aura Sound" soundscape.
The electric GLA reaches up to 657km of range (WLTP) via 800V architecture supporting up to 320kW DC fast charging (10 minutes for up to 270km) and up to 22kW AC charging, with three launch variants: the 165kW GLA 200 electric (58kWh usable LFP battery), the 200kW GLA 250+ electric, and the 260kW GLA 350 4MATIC electric (both with 85kWh usable NMC batteries, the latter accelerating 0-100km/h in 5.4 seconds).
Interior space grows with front/rear footroom up 7mm/38mm and headroom up 23mm/24mm, luggage capacity rising 70L to 410L (1400L with seats folded) alongside standard 40/20/40 split rear seats and an optional full-width MBUX Superscreen (10.25-inch instrument, 14-inch center, 14-inch passenger displays); the three models launch in November 2026, with a 71kWh NMC variant to follow in early 2027.
