- On July 24 local time, Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) issued Maple-Leaf Mobility a national-level pilot access letter and exclusive commercialization approval — the first AV commercialization license ever granted at the national-government level to a company globally — with Hainan's Haicheng Investment, a participant in Maple-Leaf's Series B round, having helped enable the deal.
- The authorization covers robotaxis, robobuses, and autonomous logistics vehicles, with the pilot launching first in Oman's Salalah Airport area before expanding nationwide; Maple-Leaf already operates across 50-plus Chinese cities with over 2,000 service outlets and a fleet exceeding 5,000 vehicles.
- The deal follows a June 2026 on-site inspection by an Oman MTCIT delegation of Maple-Leaf's Beijing operations center and robotaxi/robobus road tests in Haikou, and is framed as a Belt and Road cooperation milestone and a step toward Oman's 'Vision 2040' goal of reducing oil dependency.

- 此次合作源于2026年6月阿曼MTCIT代表团访华期间对枫叶出行北京运营中心的实地考察及海口无人驾驶公交、出租车的路测认证，被视为高质量共建'一带一路'的成果，也是阿曼落实摆脱石油依赖的'2040愿景'的关键举措。
