Daimler Truck has launched a worldwide recall covering more than 131,000 commercial vehicles, spanning diesel-powered Arocs and Actros models as well as battery-electric eActros trucks.
The battery-electric vehicles affected are eActros 300/400 units fitted with AGM batteries and built up to October 2025, following a technical defect identified in the vehicles' energy-supply system.
Germany's KBA (Federal Motor Transport Authority) reports that an improperly installed chip at the battery's contacts can corrode, which in the worst case may cause severe heat build-up during operation; the flagship eActros 600 is not part of this recall.
