Momenta has been granted approval by Germany's Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), the country's federal motor transport authority, to conduct L4-level autonomous driving tests.
The permit covers all of Germany rather than a single state or designated test zone, giving Momenta federal-level clearance to test L4 systems nationwide.
The license extends Momenta's autonomous driving validation beyond China into one of Europe's key regulatory markets, adding to the company's international testing footprint as Chinese AV developers pursue overseas expansion.
