Connecticut's Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) selected AmpUp's Adapt & Earn managed charging project as the sole pilot chosen to scale statewide from PURA's Innovative Energy Solutions Program Cycle 1.
The 18-month pilot with Eversource Energy enrolled over 1,000 charging ports across 200 locations and delivered grid relief during a regional heatwave when wholesale electricity prices spiked 3,600%, at roughly one-third the cost of peak supply it displaced.
Driver engagement was strong with 91% reporting zero inconvenience during charge pauses, 87% finding the interface simple and intuitive, and 83% willing to participate again.
