Baidu's Apollo Go and Lyft's Freenow have begun road-testing RT6 robotaxis in London's borough of Brent, with safety operators onboard, ahead of planned public robotaxi rides in 2027.
The London trial comes just a week after Baidu won its first fully driverless testing permit in Hong Kong, marking the first such trial in any right-hand-drive market worldwide.
Together, the Hong Kong and London milestones mark Apollo Go's expansion into international right-hand-drive markets, extending Baidu's robotaxi footprint beyond mainland China.
